Fibrecrafts Illuminating Acid Dyes – 50g
Description
Illuminating acid dyes work well with discharge paste because they don’t easily bleach out. To use them, make a strong dye solution by mixing 5% dye with hot water and vinegar (or citric acid). Then, mix in an equal amount of discharge paste. Apply this paste onto your already dyed fabric using a brush or stamp. Once it’s dry, activate the discharge paste by pressing the fabric with a hot iron on the steam setting. Finally, set the new dye colour using the traditional steam fixing method, and rinse away any extra dye and chemicals.
