Jacquard Screen Ink Discharge Additive – 227ml

To change the colour of dyed fabric using Jacquard Screen Ink Discharge Additive, follow these steps:

1. Test Compatibility: Start by testing a small amount of the discharge additive on your fabric to ensure that the dye used can be discharged. Steam set the test area.
2. Instructions: Add 7% by weight of the discharge additive to your screen ink and mix it thoroughly. Then, screen the desired image onto the fabric. Allow the print to sit for about 30 minutes to let the ink dry slightly.
3. Steam Setting: Next, use a steam iron at the highest appropriate temperature for the fabric and steam-set the print for 1-3 minutes or until the image is fully developed. Alternatively, for screen printers, the inks can be cured or activated immediately after printing in an industrial dryer at the highest suitable temperature for the fabric.

Note: Steam ironing is recommended for the best results. Please be aware that the viscosity of the ink may be affected by the Screen Ink Discharge Additive. Also, remember that this product will only work on fabrics dyed with “dischargeable” dyes, so testing it on your fabric beforehand is advisable.

CAUTION: The steaming process produces a strong odour. Avoid contact with eyes and skin, as it may cause irritation. Ingesting the product can lead to stomach discomfort. Inhalation of vapor during ironing may result in respiratory irritation. If necessary, wear an appropriate organic vapor mist respirator and use this product in a well-ventilated area. Keep it out of reach of children.
