Selectasine Metallic Binder

You can achieve stunning “liquid metal” colours by combining the Selectasine Metallic Binder with fine metallic powders, perfect for adding a touch of luxury to your prints. For metallic-colored screen printing inks or paint on fabric, paper, wood, or board, simply mix the binder with Selectasine Gold (Bronze) or Silver (Aluminium) powders. The recommended ratio is 100g to 150g of metallic powder per 1kg of binder (1:10).

Please be aware that the silver-colored metallic powder is made from fine particles of aluminium and is now sold in a paste form with a small amount of isopropyl alcohol added to bind it. To disperse the aluminium paste effectively, mix it with a small amount of Selectasine Metallic Binder and gradually add more Metallic Binder until the paste is thoroughly dispersed.

To ensure the wash fastness of the screen printing inks, heat setting is necessary. Once the prints are dry, simply iron on the reverse side at 165°C (330°F) for 4-5 minutes. By incorporating Selectasine Crosslinker into the ink, this time can be reduced to just 1 minute. The shelf life of the binder exceeds 12 months, when stored correctly, it is recommended to keep it in an airtight container in a cool place above 5°C and below 25°C. Cleaning the screens is easy with water and mild detergent.
