Fibrecrafts Formosul

Formosul, also known as Formasol, functions as the active agent within Discharge Paste, when combined with a thickener (Indalca PA3R). When the paste has been created it is used for colour discharge through techniques such as printing, painting, or creating areas of resistance. There are some reactive dyes which will not discharge where as some will give a simple colour change.

To create 1 litre of Discharge Paste:

1. Blend 150g of Formosul with 200ml of water until a smooth cream consistency is achieved.
2. Combine 60g of Indalca PA3R with 600ml of water, use an electric mixer to thoroughly blend the mixture into a stock paste.
3. Gently pour the prepared Formosul cream solution into the previously prepared Indalca PA3R stock paste solution. Stir the two solutions together until they are thoroughly combined.
