This is a handy tool used to smooth and rub the back of paper when transferring ink from carved blocks made of materials like lino, Speedball Speedy-Carve, rubber, or wood. It comes with a sturdy wooden handle for a comfortable hold and a tough ABS plastic surface covered with foam and polyethylene, all topped with nitrex nylon.

This baren is designed to absorb shocks and glide smoothly, making it simple to apply consistent pressure for high-quality ink images. Adjusting the pressure allows you to achieve different colour shades in your prints.
