Fibrecrafts Manutex RS 250g

Manutex RS is a thickener made from Kelp seaweed and is based on sodium alginate. It’s used in both the textile and food industries. It’s a versatile thickener that works well under mild acidic or alkaline conditions.

In textile work, it’s especially recommended for printing or painting with Acid dyes on wool or silk in acidic conditions. RS has a low solid content and is ideal for printing on thicker fabrics or silk when fine details aren’t needed. To use it, mix 45g in 1 litre of cold water and add 10g of Calgon.
