Calgon PT, also known as Sodium Hexametaphosphate, serves to soften water in regions with hard water conditions, enhancing colour absorption during the dyeing process. It is recommended for use in creating dye pastes to counteract the impact of calcium and magnesium salts present in water, which otherwise tend to diminish colour vibrancy and result in duller shades.
